Nancy Shea

Nancy M. Shea, age 72, of North Reading, formerly of Melrose, died Tuesday, October 1 at the Winchester Hospital.

Born in Malden on March 11, 1947 she was the cherished daughter of the late Robert M. and Claire (Fisher) Shea. She was the beloved sister of Barbara Shea of North Reading and the late Roberta and Kevin Shea. She also leaves behind many loving friends.

Nancy was raised in Melrose and was a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1965 and had attended the Boston Institute of Art. Her love of art continued throughout her life, most especially through her love of pottery; she was an active participant at the pottery barn in Danvers. Nancy loved animals and nature, which lead her to work many years at Mahoney's Garden Center, a role which she cherished. She also loved to travel; trips to Italy and Croatia were highlights that she remembered with great fondness.

Her funeral Service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 2pm. Visitation for relatives and friends at the Funeral Home prior to the service from 12pm-2pm. Interment will be private.
