Natalie P. Baldini

Natalie P. Baldini died May 4, 2024, while she was in the excellent care of the Bearhill Nursing Center of Stoneham.  Natalie died of organ failure due to heart disease at the age of eighty-seven.  She was born on March 6, 1937, to Silvio A. Baldini and Josephine (Zuffante) Baldini.  She had one sister, Paula Sarno, of Stoneham and has left behind nieces, a nephew, and many cousins.    Natalie grew up in Brookline.  Her father owned at local restaurant serving Italian specialties in Boston for many years.  Both her parents were excellent cooks, especially her father who brought his Italian cuisine with him when he immigrated to Boston directly from Italy.  Natalie admired her parents' culinary skills and loved learning from them and helping out in the restaurant during her years in high school.  Natalie had a special fondness for her uncle who lived with the family as she grew up.

Natalie enjoyed an 'adopted' family as well.   Ruth Morash, one of her best friends, included her in her family gatherings for many years.  After Ruth's passing, Ruth's family watched over Natalie for almost a decade making sure all her needs were met.  Ruth's daughter, Barbara Morash, always included her in holidays and vacations, acting as her caregiver.  Barbara's daughter, Hilary Kulunis, moved in with Natalie so that Natalie could remain in her home until the very end.  They were close comrades for four years.  Barbara's son, John Kulunis, helped Natalie with all her condo work that needed to be done.  Natalie even enjoyed her 'adopted' grandnieces and nephew, as she referred to them, Bree Lakeman, and David and Layla Kulunis.

Eva Solimine was another special friend whose family 'adopted' Natalie as one of their own.  Having known Natalie and her parents for many years, Eva was Natalie's hair stylist.  Natalie adored Eva.   Eva's family included Natalie for many years in their holiday festivities with Eva taking Natalie to doctor's appointments and standing by Natalie's side when she had a mastectomy.

Natalie earned her master's degree in sociology and psychology.   She worked many years for Social Security in Massachusetts, Alaska and then returning home to Boston.  Natalie remained working for the federal government up until her retirement and continue living life joining the Red Hat Society and becoming a member of the Stoneham Senior Center as well as performing in the Senior Center's chorus directed by Linda Kirk, another of Ruth Morash's daughter.  Natalie was a devout catholic, but she loved learning about different religions and often attended protestant services as well.  Natalie was a kind, generous, loving woman, an avid reader, and a lover of the arts and music who touched many lives in her lifetime. Her strong faith, beliefs and devotion were her outstanding qualities that guided her throughout her lifetime. She would want us to remember her with happiness and a life well lived. Let our memory of Natalie provide us with a song in our hearts. Rest in peace Natalie. We love you. God Bless!
