Natalie M . Alves , 91, of Stoneham, died Monday, January 6 at her home.

Born in Boston on January 19, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Charles and Letetia (Byrne) Thompson.

Mrs. Alves was raised in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School. She had been a Stoneham resident since 1957 and had also lived in Hyannis. She was a member of Saint Patrick Church.

Mrs. Alves was the beloved wife of the late Theodore P. Alves . She was the loving mother of Theodore P. "Ted" Alves of Maryland, Ellen Brezinski of Shelburne Falls, Donna Higgins of Texas, Karen Alves of Medway, Michele Salerno of Stoneham and the late Nancy Alves . She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Thompson and her sister Anna Lavery.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Friday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10:00 o'clock. Interment will follow at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8pm.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Alves name to: Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
