, 100, of Wakefield died Sunday Dec. 6, 2009 at the EPOCH Senior Healthcare in Melrose. Born in Wakefield on June 1, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Alberta (Hayward) Eaton.

was a graduate of the Wakefield High School Class of 1926. She married the late J. Walter
Curley
and they lived for many years on Cedar Street in Wakefield where they raised four children Marcia Tenney of Falls Church Virginia, Joseph W.
Curley
, Jr. of Middleboro, Massachusetts, James
Curley
of East Lyme, Connecticut, and the late Martha Anderson. She enjoyed visits form her numerous grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.
Norma
Curley
was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Wakefield. She was employed by the Wakefield YMCA for many years. At the age of 98 she moved from her home on Cedar Street to the Boit Home in Wakefield. At the Boit she continued her love of reading, playing scrabble, solving crossword puzzles, and cheering on her beloved Red Sox.
A private burial service was held on December 9, 2009. A service of celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 9 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Wakefield.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Boit Home, 5 Bennett St., Wakefield, MA 01880; The Wakefield-Lynnfield United Methodist Church, 273 Vernon Street, Wakefield MA 01880; or the First Baptist Church, 8 Lafayette St., Wakefield Massachusetts.
