Palmira A. Salimbene, 96, of Wakefield died on Wednesday, March 25 at her residence.
Born in Boston on September 14, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Erminia (Guarina) Sorrentine.
Mrs. Salimbene was a graduate of East Boston High School, Class of 1935. She was a retired Sales Clerk at Jordan Marsh in Boston.
Mrs. Salimbene was the wife of the late Charles Salimbene. She is survived by her daughter Charlotte Lawton of Wakefield, her two sisters; Gloria Rossi of Stoneham and Yolanda Quinn of Reading, her five grandchildren; John, Paul & James Lawton and Robert Salimbene & Karen Brumett, her two great grandchildren Michael Salimbene and Christian Brumett and her three great great grandchildren; Avon Lea, Kyla and Faeryn. Mrs. Salimbene was predeceased by her son Robert Salimbene.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel, 302 Elm St., Everett at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home in Wakefield.
