Patricia Cotter

Patricia Cotter , 74, of Wakefield, died Tuesday, March 4 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center.

Born in Malden on October 6, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Leo and Florence (Murphy) Cotter .

Patricia was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1957. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish. She was a retired administrative secretary for Raytheon and had worked in their Waltham and Andover offices. Patricia was a long time member of the Raytheon golf leagues. She enjoyed reading, travelling and golf trips to Florida, Hawaii, Las Vegas and the Canadian Rockies. She supported many of the animal societies.

Patricia is survived by her sister Anne Cotter of Wakefield, her cousins and their families: William Scanlon and his wife Marcia of Wakefield, Robert Scanlon and his wife Louise of Wolfeboro, NH, and Christine Cotter of Norridgewok, ME. Also survived by her four legged best friends, Danny and Riley. She was preceded in death by her cousin Richard Scanlon. Also survived by her dear friend Thomas Sullivan of Everett.

A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Friday at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, prior to the mass from 8:30 to 9:30am. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
