Patricia Alice Dinneen, age 88 of Hingham, formerly of Lynnfield, passed away peacefully on February 19 at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Revere on August 1, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Warren and Alice (Murphy) Myers.
Patricia was a graduate of Revere High School and later Chelsea Memorial School of Nursing and was a dedicated registered nurse for many years. She was an accomplished home cook, who loved hosting family and friends for parties and holidays, and was happiest at home with her family.
She was the beloved wife of Maurice Dinneen for 66 years. She was the adoring mother of Kathi Jenkins and her husband Daniel of Ashland, Patricia Smith and her husband Larry of Sarasota, FL, Maura Dagher and her husband Matthew of Norwell, Joseph Dinneen and his wife Beth of Lynnfield, and Julie Polkinghorn and her husband Philip of Mission Hills, KS. Patricia was the cherished grandmother of eight grandchildren: Michael Jenkins, Jacquelyn Rocha, Courtney Dagher, Allison Braun, Margaret Cunningham, Caroline Dagher, Adam Polkinghorn, and Brenna Collins. She was also the proud great grandmother of seven great grandchildren.
She was loved very much and will be missed beyond measure.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday, February 23 from 4:00—7:00 p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut St., Lynnfield on Saturday, February 24 at 10:30 a.m. Patricia will be laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery, Lynnfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation in honor of Patricia’s father, 1st Lt. Warren F. Myers, a Purple Heart recipient. Warren died at age 36 from injuries suffered serving in Germany during World War II, to Tunnels to Towers, a nonprofit for veterans and first responders at 2361 Hylan Blvd Staten Island, NY 10306-3159 United States. https://t2t.org/
