Patricia Tine

Patricia C. Tine, 70, of Wakefield, died suddenly on January 8 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in New Haven, CT on February 24, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Richard W. Jr. & Claire (O'Neil) Canavan.

Mrs. Tine was raised in Seymour and Pawcatuck, CT and was a graduate of Stonington High School. She later graduated from Albertus Magnus College of New Haven, CT. Mrs. Tine was a retired Biology teacher and over the course of her career she taught in Waterford, CT, Wakefield High School, Concord High School, Stoneham High School and Middle School. She was a member of St. Joseph Church and also a member of the church choir and was a volunteer and member of the Board of Directors of the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry.

Mrs. Tine was the beloved wife of Sebastian P. "Yano" Tine. She was the sister of Richard W. Canavan, III and Neil Canavan of CT. She was the sister in-law of Richard Tine and Jenni (Tine) Reilly and her husband Allen all of Wakefield and the late Mary (Tine) Harris. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Friday at 9a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry 467 Main St. Wakefield, MA 01880.
