Paul Allen
Paul F. Allen, of Lynnfield and formerly of Wakefield passed away at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston on Saturday February 28 at age 78.
Born in Boston on April 17, 1930, he was the son of the late Earl S. and Marie F. (Stevens) Allen.
Mr. Allen had served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had been an employee of American Mutual Insurance Company for 34 years and later for C.V.S. of Wakefield. He enjoyed following Boston sports teams, especially the Red Sox and was also an avid golfer and Bingo player.
Mr. Allen is survived by his wife Gloria D. (Thibault). He was the father of David Allen & his wife Robin of No. Reading and Mark J. Allen of Peabody. He was the grandfather of Sarah & Amanda Allen and was the brother of Collette Burgett and Carol Bundick of FL and the late Jean Baxely. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Thursday at 11:00. Visitation at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Interment will be at Great Hill Cemetery in Chester, NH in the spring.
