Paul Auger

Paul R. Auger of Saugus and formerly of Everett died Monday March 7 at his home. He was 68 years of age. Born in Everett on May 19, 1942 the son of the late Armand & Stella (Boczkowski) Auger. Mr. Auger was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1960. He was the original owner the well known Paul's Cold Cuts of Everett. He was also a member of the E. Club of Everett, was an avid sports fan and enjoyed gardening and his back yard pool. Mr. Auger was a Saugus resident for the past 33 years and was retiree of the M.W.R.A.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years Marianne (Talanian). He was the loving father of Debra L. Spurr & husband Craig, Laurie J. Benoit & husband David J. and Sherry A. Nichols & husband Geoffrey W. all of Middleton. He was also the brother of Patricia McDonald of Everett, Barbara Collins of York, ME, James Auger of Saugus, Edward Auger of Malden and the late Raymond, William & Joseph Auger. He was the devoted loving grandfather and "Pa" to Ryan & Logan Spurr, Nicole & John Benoit and Mackenzie & Paul Nichols. Many nieces and nephews and dear friends also survive.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Friday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church corner of Grove & Salem Sts. Lynnfield at 10:00. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday 3-8pm.
