Paul C. Ballotta, Jr., 83, of Stoneham, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. He was at home surrounded by his loving and faithful wife of 59 years and family. Paul, was born to the late Paul C. and Eda (Matteucci) Ballotta, Sr. on July 13, 1940 in Boston, and grew up in Somerville.
Paul was a devoted family man, a proud American and Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and jack-of-all-trades. Paul culminated his decades-long career as a mechanic in 2010, dedicating his later working years to the intricacies of power generation. Paul’s willingness to help was unwavering, his generous spirit shining through in his readiness to lend a helping hand in support of others, day or night. Paul’s patriotism was an integral part of his identity, evident in the flags that transformed his home and truck with his American pride and love of country on full display.
Paul was happiest when surrounded by his family, working in his garden, or working on his latest home project.
Paul was the beloved husband of Arline (Bassette) Ballotta. He was the loving father of Paul C. Ballotta III and his wife Stefanie of Woburn, Nancy Kiklis and her husband Mark of Woburn, Philip Ballotta of Stoneham, Maryann Manzi and her husband Eric of Methuen, and Bill Ballotta and his wife Jenny of Westford. Beloved brother of Irene Ballotta, Rose Gallezzo and her late husband Ralph, and Elizabeth Campbell and her late husband Donald, and the late Philip Ballotta. Beloved brother-in-law of Anna Mae McFadden and her late husband William, Geraldine Botsch and her late husband Donald, the late Mary and Howard Bowdring, and the late Audrey and Charles Williams. Paul was the cherished grandfather of Emily, Sophia, Alex, JJ, Matthew, and John. Paul is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald–Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Friday, December 1 from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations in Paul’s name to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Stoneham & Wakefield, 15 Dale Court, Stoneham, or to Middlesex East Visiting Nurse Hospice, Gift Processing Center, 41 Mall Road, Burlington.
