Paul Chirone passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025 at the age of 90. Paul was born on September 20, 1934 and was the son of the late Adelio and Elsie Chirone.
Paul grew up in Wakefield and graduated from Wakefield High School. He then went on to Northeastern University where he studied drafting and engineering.
Paul was a happy go lucky kind of guy who loved music. He was pretty talented as he played the guitar, organ and piano. He was often found at the neighbors house playing music with them, singing songs and swimming in the pool. He loved being a part of the fun. He played the organ on Sunday's for The First Baptist Church in Wakefield. Paul also had a love for CB and HAM radio. His office was full of them and he enjoyed talking to his friends or anyone who was in a talkative mood.
Paul and his father Del were automotive electrical engineers and owned AF Chirone & Son in Wakefield. They rebuilt starters, generators, and alternators. They worked meticulously to get every part working precisely, like brand new and did work for many trucking companies in and around the Wakefield area. Paul also enjoyed working on parts for antique cars.
Paul loved being around and doing things with his grandchildren. He was the perfect babysitter because he loved to teach them new things. He never missed a hockey game, a play, concert or anything that was put on by the grandkids.
Paul is survived by his daughter Barbara and her husband Robert, his granddaughter Emma, his sister Elizabeth (Betty) and his nieces Deborah, Adele and Elizabeth (Betsy).
Paul is predeceased by his grandson David. and his parents Adelio and Elsie.
There will be a graveside service in the spring at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield. The date will be disclosed at a later time.
