Paul E. Duggan, 91 of Lynnfield died Friday May 13 in Danvers. Born in Hinsdale, NH on July 16, 1919 son of the late William & Gertrude (Pelkey) Duggan. Mr. Duggan was raised in Hinsdale and Dalton, MA and had been a Lynnfield resident since 1954. He was retired from the Plasticrete Corporation and then later from the Town of Lynnfield School Department in 1987 where he had been a bus driver. He was a member of the Wakefield Lodge of Elks and a past member of the Teamsters. Mr. Duggan was also a W.W. II Army veteran serving in Europe and earned the Victory Medal and the European, African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Medal as well as the Purple Heart.

Mr. Duggan was the husband of the late Evelyn V. (Lignar) Duggan. He is survived by his son Paul E. Duggan and his wife Dorothea of Saugus, his daughter Cheryl A. Porter and her husband Richard of Middleton. He is pre-deceased by his daughter Sharon M. Duggan. He was the brother of the late William Duggan. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jamie Smith and her husband Joseph, Stepanie & Michele Porter and Kyle and Ryan Duggan.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Monday at 9am to be followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church Lynnfield at 10:00. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 1-5 pm.
