Paul Nugent

Paul F . Nugent , 64, a Lynnfield resident since 1976, died on Thursday, June 24 at his residence.

Born in Winthrop on January 4, 1946 he was the son of the late Mansell J. and Celia L. (Crowell) Nugent .

Mr. Nugent was a graduate of East Boston High School, Class of 1965. He was a retired Transportation Supervisor for the City of Boston. After his retirement he was a crossing guard for the Town of Lynnfield. Mr. Nugent served in the United States Coast Guard. He was a member of the Reading K of C and the Emerald Police Society. Mr. Nugent was a collector of police memorabilia and was proud of his duel citizenship with the United States and Ireland. He was a member of the Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield.

Mr. Nugent is survived by his wife Susan M. (Pezzatta) Nugent , his three brothers; Arthur Nugent and his wife Daisy of Beverly, James Nugent and his wife Virginia of Concord and Robert Nugent and his wife Stacy of Lynnfield, his sister Brenda Nugent of Winthrop and his Goddaughter Katie Nugent . Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Tuesday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in the Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Corner of Salem St and Grove St, Lynnfield at 10 o'clock. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8pm.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Head & Neck oncology unit, 10 Brookline Place, West, 11th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226.
