, 79, a life long resident of Wakefield, died on Thursday, June 2 at his home.
Born in Wakefield on April 25, 1932, he was the son of the late Frank and Caroline (DeCecca)

Mr.
Palumbo
was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1950 and also the New England School of Art, 1958. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 – 1955 during the Korean Conflict.
Mr.
Palumbo
was a retired Commercial Artist for the Verizon Yellow Pages.
He was a member of the Reading Art Association and the Lynnfield Art Guild and won numerous awards for watercolor art. Mr.
Palumbo
was a devoted family man.

was the husband of 56 years to Irene G. (Ciarfella)
Palumbo
. He was the father of Renee J. Titus and her husband

of Wakefield, Lori R. Curole and her husband Rich of Portland, ME, and Jill C.
Palumbo
of Wakefield. He was the brother of David and John
Palumbo
and Donna Pappalardo all of NH and the grandfather of Nicki and Zachary Titus. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Rose Encarnacao and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4pm. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hallmark Health Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice, 178 Savin St., Suite 300, Malden, MA 02148.
