, 46, of Wakefield died on Tuesday July 27 in Wakefield.
Born in Melrose on August 18, 1963 he was the son of Raffaella (DiCicco)

Paul
was a graduate of Wakefield High School, class of 1981. He also attended Bunker Hill Community College as well as Salem State College.
Paul
was a Controller for the D.L. Saunders Company & The Boston Park Plaza Hotel, LLC in Boston. He had also worked in the Secretary of State's Office, was the Chief of Staff for the former State Rep. Bill Cass and had been employed by Thayer & Associates and Symes Associates.
In 1982
Paul
was the youngest in the State to be elected to service on the Wakefield School Committee and had also served as Chairman.
Paul
was actively involved in campaigns for many elected officials, most recently the Baker & Tisei Campaign. He had also served on the Wakefield Charter Commission.
Paul
was on the Board of Trustees for the Stoneham Theatre. He was actively involved in the Plummer Home for Boys in Salem, MA and the Big Brother, Big Sister organization.
Paul
was an active member of St. Joseph Church and a former alter boy.
In addition to his mother,

is survived by his son, Shakur Brooks of Wakefield, three sisters, Donna Martorelli and her husband David of Melrose, Dorothy Campbell of Clearwater, FL, and Deborah Sullivan of Wakefield and his two brothers John

and his wife Susan and David

both of Wakefield. He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father John A.

.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-5 p m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery.
