Paul Matosic

Paul M . Matosic , 80, of Wakefield and Newburyport, died suddenly on Friday July 3.

Born in West Allis, Wisconsin on February 1, 1929, he was the son of the late Paul and Violet (Miksa) Matosic .

Mr. Matosic was raised in Wisconsin and was a graduate of the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He was a retired architectural Engineer.

Mr. Matosic excelled in many sports and was drafted out of High School by the Chicago White Sox. He was a member of the Senior Pro Bowlers Association and a frequent contributor to the Editorial pages of many area newspapers. He was also a devoted family man.

Mr. Matosic is survived by his four sons, Adam P. Matosic of Haverhill, Todd B. Matosic of CA, Christopher J. Matosic of Wakefield and Matthew J. Matosic of GA, his daughter, Melissa L. Martin of Haverhill, and his sister, Helen Schweiss of WI. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Priscilla, Nicole, Zoe, Isabela and Nicolas Paul . Mr. Matosic was predeceased by his brother John Matosic .

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Friday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St. Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
