Paul L. Robbins, 85, a long-time Wakefield resident died at his home on Saturday, October 18.
Born in Chicago, IL on February 16, 1929 he was the son of the late George and Ann (LeBlanc) Robbins.
Mr. Robbins was raised in Melrose and attended the Melrose school system. A Wakefield resident for the past 67 years, he had been a self-employed carpenter for many years.
Mr. Robbins was the husband of Dorothy L. "Dottie" (Glynn) Robbins. He was the father of Michael Robbins of Peabody, Richard Robbins of AZ, David Robbins of MT, John Robbins and Ann Robbins both of Wakefield and Christopher Robbins of NE. He was the brother of Jeanette Cain of Burlington and the late Barbara Kerrigan. He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was the Brother-in-law of Jeanette Hourihan of Wakefield and Gerald Glynn of Hampton, NH.
Visiting hours will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave Wakefield on Wednesday from 3:00 - 7:00 P.M. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Hallmark Health Visiting Nurse Assoc. and Hospice, 178 Savin St., Suite 300, Malden, MA 01248.
