Paul Tague

Paul B . Tague , 88 a longtime resident of Stoneham died Monday January 17, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.

Born in Charlestown June 10, 1933 he was the son of the late Bernard and Mary (White) Tague .

Paul was a graduate of Stoneham High School class of 1951. Upon graduation he enlisted in the Navy and served his country for four years during the Korean Conflict. He was 60 year member of Pipefitters Local 537. Paul was very active in the Stoneham Little League having been a coach for over 30 years. He was a lover of the Boston sports teams and was an avid golfer. He made numerous trips to Ireland where he learned to embrace his Irish heritage and became a big fan of Irish music. Most of all Paul enjoyed spending time with his family.

Paul was the beloved husband of the late Anne (Meehan) Tague . He was the loving father of Stephen Tague of Woburn, Dennis Tague and his wife Lisa of Mansfield, James Tague and his wife Jean of Wilmington, Kevin Tague of Billerica, Brian Tague and Karen Tague of Stoneham. He was the brother of the late Frank, Helen, Bernard, Louise, Mary, John and William. He was also the grandfather of Derek Clinton and his wife Ashley, Paul , Michelle, Jacob and Jennifer and the great grandfather of Bryce, Mason, Milania, Cole and Brielle.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham on Saturday at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stonham on Friday from 4-7 p.m. Masks will be required at the funeral home and the church.
Interment, St. Patrick Cemetery Stoneham.
