Peter Anastos

Peter Anastos , 82, of Wakefield died at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on Saturday, May 27th.

Born in Lynn on September 4, 1930, he was the son of the late George and Beatrice (Tavolaris) Anastos .

Peter was a graduate of Lynn High School. He was an Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Anastos was a retired maintenance worker for Charette in Woburn.

Peter was the husband of Dorothy (Pizzano) Anastos . He was the father of Nichlos Anastos and his wife Margaret of Danvers and Michael Anastos of Saugus. He was the brother of Annie Anastos of Lynn, Clay Anastos of Peabody, Charles Anastos of Lynn and the late Philip and Cristina Anastos . He is also survived by his granddaughter Tracey Anastos of Danvers and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield, on Friday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St. Wakefield at 11:30 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m.

Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
