Peter Surette

Peter J. Surette, 52. A lifelong Wakefield resident died on Saturday, June 16 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Melrose on November 19, 1959 he was the son of the late Robert F. and Marylou (Whittredge) Surette.

Peter was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1977. He had been associated with Surette Building Company for over 25 years working as a carpenter. Peter was an accomplished cook and a prolific gardener and bee keeper. He delighted in sharing the bounty of his kitchen, garden and hives with family and friends.

Mr. Surette is survived by his wife Karen A. (Nelson) Surette, his son Jonathan P. Surette of Wakefield, his three brothers; Robert F. Surette, Jr. and his wife Karen of Wakefield, Thomas E. Surette and his wife Kathleen of Naples, FL, and Andy P. Surette of Wakefield and his sister Marla Notaro and her husband Victor of West Newfield, ME.

A funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Saturday at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home prior to the service starting at 10am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St, Framingham, MA 01701.
