Philip C. Infurna - Lynnfield
On the evening of December 30, 2015, Phil passed away at Naples Community Hospital in Naples, FL as a result of complication associated with congestive heart failure. Phil was 87 years old.
Phil Infurna was born in Boston, MA on October 20, 1928. He was the fourth child, of the late Rosina and Cosmo Infurna of Everett.
Phil was raised in Everett and attended the Everett Public Schools before going on to attend both Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Northeastern University for a time.
He met Mary (Tina) Faraci and they were married in August of 1950. They were a loving couple and inseparable for 65 years.
Phil became a senior executive and Vice President at Keene / Smithcraft Lighting in Wilmington, MA. before leaving to form his own firm, Eastern Lighting Associates in North Reading, MA which he ran successfully until his retirement in 1990.
He was the consummate family man, designer, craftsman, gardener and master of well executed do-it-yourself projects. Phil and Tina raised their son and daughter in Stoneham, MA where they lived for over 25 years before moving to Lynnfield, MA. They began wintering in Marco Island, FL. In 1989 and enjoyed being "snowbirds" for 26 years.
Phil is survived by his family who all loved and cherished him including his devoted wife Mary "Tina" Infurna, son and daughter-in-law Philip and Linda Infurna of Naples, FL / Brewster, MA, daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Leo Geoffroy of Newport, RI, five grandchildren Melissa, Philip "PJ" & wife Jennifer, Danielle, Brittany and Brandon. Phil was also survived by five great-grandchildren, his dear brother Joseph Infurna of Glendale, AZ and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Friday at 9am followed by Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church corner of Salem & Grove Sts. Lynnfield at 10:00. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8pm.
