Phyllis Hayes

Phyllis C. Hayes, 75 of Methuen, formerly of Andover and Wakefield died Monday May 15, at Southwood of Norwell.

Born in Melrose, October 13, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Walter and Bertha (Logan) Cook.

Phyllis was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School. She later attended Simmons College in Boston. She was a longtime resident of Andover where she raised her family. Phyllis has been a Methuen resident since 1994.

Phyllis was the loving mother of Jeffrey J. Hayes and his wife Jennifer of Norwell, Dianne E. Hayes of FL, and Laura M. Hayes of Marshfield. She was the sister of Walter Cook of Wakefield. Phyllis is also survived by her 4 grandchildren, Hannah, Margaret, Jessica and Ethan.

Her funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, on Friday at 12 noon. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home, prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

Interment, St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham.
