Phyllis A. Kranefuss, age 77 of Stoneham died Tuesday November 4 at her home following a long period of failing health. Born in Winchester on June 29, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Phillip & Mildred (Flaherty) Gange. Mrs. Kranefuss was raised in Winchester and was a graduate of Winchester High School and later attended Leslie College. She was retired from the Winchester Hospital where she worked as a secretary for many years and later as a Physician Referral Co-ordinator. She had also been employed with the Marshalls Department Store Headquarters in Woburn, was a volunteer at the Boston Regional Medical Center. She had been a Stoneham resident since 1978 and attended St. Patrick Church.
Mrs. Kranefuss is survived by her beloved husband Fredric L. Kranefuss. She was the loving mother of Tony F. Kranefuss and his wife Jennifer of Stoneham and Kristin J. Fox & husband Dana of Dracut. She was the sister of Elizabeth Coss of Wincester and the loving grandmother of Sarah & Joseph Kranefuss and William, Matthew, Katie and Allison Fox.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald –Finnegan Funeral Home 322 Main St. Stoneham Saturday at 8AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 9:00. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday 4-8 PM. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.
