Phyllis Medige

Phyllis K. Medige, 88, of Wakefield, died Friday, January 17, at her home.

Born in Chelsea on November 18, 1925 she was the daughter of the late William and Florence (Bennett) Drover.

Mrs. Medige was raised in Chelsea and was a graduate of Chelsea High School. She had been a Wakefield resident since 1950. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish and had worked as a traffic supervisor in the 1960's. She enjoyed arts and crafts.

Mrs. Medige was the wife of the late George H. Medige. She is survived by her children Janice L. Seabury of Lynnfield, George H. Medige and his wife Ruthanne of Wakefield, and Diane P. Oxford and her husband William of Wakefield. She is also survived by her sisters Edna Fariole of Florida and Florence Richard of Malden. She was the grandmother of David Medige, Stefanie Harrison, Kathleen Moses, and Edward Seabury. She was also the Great-grandmother of Jonathan, Liam, Ava and Max. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her sister Lillian Veneziano.

A funeral service will be held for Mrs. Medige at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 10:30am. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home prior to the service, starting at 9:30am. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
