Phyllis T. Ross, age 76, of St. Petersburg, FL and formerly of Wakefield, MA passed away on Monday August 26th at the Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Born in Wakefield, MA on June 23, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Louis and Celia (Gravallese) Tecce.
Mrs. Ross was raised in Wakefield, MA and was a graduate of Wakefield High School. Soon after graduating high school, Phyllis moved to Southern California where she met and married her husband Roger Ross. They spent many years living in California as well as years in Illinois, Iowa, Ohio, and Florida. Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker but, over the years, also worked in various professional positions in marketing, sales and bookkeeping. Phyllis' travels awarded her a long list of loyal friends who herald her wonderful qualities of warmth, charm, and limitless energy.
Mrs. Ross was the beloved wife of Roger Ross. She was the loving mother of Christopher Ross and his wife Julia Ross of St Petersburg, FL and of Matthew Ross and his wife Heather Ross of Gainesville, FL. She was the devoted sister of Dorothy Roulston and her husband Edward and the late Augustine, Michael, Louis, John and Joseph Tecce and Mary O'Keefe, Adeline Shea and Esther Schiavone. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ryan, Sawyer, Caroline and James Ross as well as many nieces and nephews. Her family maintains wonderful memories of Phyllis' favorite times- visiting with family and friends, reading to or playing with her grandchildren, or hosting/cooking a fantastic meal.
Her funeral service will be held at the McDonald – Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham, MA on Sat. Oct. 5 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home prior to the service starting at 10:00 A.M.
Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham, MA.
