Ralph Santosuosso

Ralph P . Santosuosso , age 81, passed away surrounded by his family on January 31, 2022. He was born and raised in Revere Massachusetts, the son of Ralph Luigi Santosuosso and Esther Hartwell.

Ralph proudly served in the United States Air Force and started a number of small businesses before establishing Aved Electronics, a world class contract manufacturing company located in Billerica MA. To this day, Aved serves premier manufacturers of medical equipment, security technology, and robotics industries, and employees nearly 200 people. He treated each and every employee like family and will be warmly remembered in an industry that he made countless contributions to.

Ralph carried the love of flying from his air force career into his private life as an accomplished pilot, and was happiest when he was in the air with his family accompanying him on adventures around the country. Solo, he loved the challenge of taking his flying to the next level and enjoyed recreational aerobatics. As a winged philanthropist, he contributed many hours of flying for Angel Flight, providing free air transportation for people who need to travel to receive lifesaving medical treatment, but lack the means.

Always one for adventure he also enjoyed skiing and travel, Africa being one of his favorite destinations, and sailing became a passion for him later in life. He could be found each and every January traversing the British Virgin Islands with his family and was a member of Jubilee Yacht club in Beverly. He was no slouch on the golf course, enjoyed cooking, going to Bruins games, time in front of the fire, and sitting in his hot tub with a cigar and a Grey Goose.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Betty Ann and his parents Ralph and Esther. He is survived by his son Ralph Lewis (Janine) Santosuosso , his beloved daughter Robin Ann (Todd) Martyn, grandchildren Paul George Doucette, Erika Lee Santosuosso , Nicholas David Doucette, and Molly Rae Santosuosso , his companion Diane Depari and her son David, siblings Lewis (Helen) Santosuosso , Deryl Santosuosso , Linda Bruno, along with many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
