Raymond Dube

Raymond G. Dube, age 70 of Reading died Sunday, June 10 in Melrose, MA. Ray was born in Malden, MA on June 27, 1947 and was the son of the late Raymond L. and Mary A. (Tetreault) Dube. He was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of St. Mary High School of Lynn and then went on to attend UMass Lowell. He was retired from Koch Membrane of Wilmington where he worked for many years as an engineer. Ray had been a longtime resident of Reading and had been active in organized soccer and was also a Sailing Captain, Registered with the U.S. Coast Guard. He was also a very active member of the Wakefield Lodge of Elks and was an R.V. enthusiast.

Ray was the beloved husband of Susan M. (Penney) Dube and the late Eleanor F. (Meehan) Dube. He was the loving father of Nathan Dube, SM Sgt Jared Dube, USAF and his wife Amanda, and Aaron Dube; and step father of Kimberly Sue Penney-Angi. He was the brother of David L. Dube, Christine O'Toole, Philip Dube and Denise Baker. He was the brother in-law of Sharon LeBlanc, Roxanne Delzell, Lisa Howitt, Paula Penney and the late Patience Penney. Several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Thursday from 4-8pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Funeral service will be private.
