Raymond P. Pizzano, III , age 54 of Dracut and formerly of East Boston died Sunday November 27 peacefully at his home after a long and courageous battle with congestive heart failure. He was born on April 18, 1962 and was the beloved son of the late Joann (Nazzaro) Pizzano. He was raised in East Boston and was a graduate of East Boston High School where he starred in football and would receive 14 scholarship offers from colleges and universities. Ray had an infectious smile and made a friend wherever he went. "Everybody Loves Raymond" was truly meant for him. Raymond loved life, loved to travel and had a passion for his pride and joy, his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He is a retired member of Local # 7 Ironworkers Union.
Raymond was the loving father of the late James Pizzano. His is survived by his beloved Stepanie Anne. He was the loving brother of Mary Maradei of Dracut and Joseph Pizzano of Dorchester. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Friday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Florence Church 47 Butler Ave. Wakefield at 10:00. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home Thursday 4-8pm.
