Raymond Simpson

Raymond F. Simpson, 94, a life long Lynnfield resident died Wednesday, June 16 at his residence.

Born in East Boston on October 25, 1915 he was the son of the Late George and Catherine (McCormack) Simpson.

Mr. Simpson was a graduate of Wakefield high School, Class of 1934. He was a retired supervisor for Nynex in Saugus. Mr. Simpson was a life long member of the Wakefield Elks Lodge 1276, a life long member and past commodore of the Lynn Yacht Club and a member and past commander of the Broad Sound Power Squadron in Lynn.

He was the husband of the late Lorna (Pratt) Simpson. Mr. Simpson is survived by his four children; Jonathan Simpson and his wife Carol of Wakefield, Karen Duggan and her husband John of Lynnfield, Christopher Simpson and his wife Pauline of Merrith Island, Florida and Kathy Simpson of Billerica and his sister Shirley Brady of Florida. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Saturday at 11am. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday 4-8pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wakefield Elks Scholarship Fund, 63 Baystate Rd, Wakefield, MA 01880.
