, of Manchester, NH and native of Wakefield died on Friday, August 31 in Manchester at the age of 62. Born in Malden, MA on September 29, 1949 he was the son of the late Robert E. & Elizabeth J. (Cotter)

Mr.
Dillon
was a graduate of Wakefield High School in 1968 and later served his country in Vietnam as a member of the U.S. Army. He was a retired manager and had worked for Northern Data and also for Dimension Data. He was an avid baseball fan and is remembered by family and friends as pitching the first no hitter for Wakefield High. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and he loved to read, cook and take care of his dog Max. He had been a resident of Manchester for the past two years.

of Merrimack, NH and Kimberly J. Cullen also of Manchester. He was the brother of William of Middleboro, Joseph of Topsfield, John of Wakefield and James

of WA, also Mary Maloney of Dennisport, Janice Ingalls of AL and Elisabeth Littlehale of Haverhill. He was the devoted grandfather of Riley Cullen and was the former husband of Rosemarie J. (D'Andrea)

. He is also survived by his dog Max.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Thursday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church 47 Butler Ave. Wakefield at 10:00. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home Wednesday 4-8pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dick's memory may be made to a Veterans' charity of one's choice.
