Richard J. Angelini, 82, of Saugus died on Tuesday, January 22 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
Born on January 5, 1931 he was the son of the late Setimeo and Filomena (Austio) Angelini.
Mr. Angelini was raised in Wakefield. He was the retired owner of Angelini & Sons Plastering Co. During the Korean Conflict Mr. Angelini served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. John Episcopal Church in Saugus and an avid bowler and sports enthusiast.
Mr. Angelini was the husband of the late Carole J. Green. He was the father of Scott D. Angelini of North Reading, David S. Angelini of Windham, NH, Karen J. Angelini of Stoneham, Jennifer C. Clary of Saugus and the late Richard J. Angelini, Jr. He was the brother of the late Frank Angelin and Mary McCue. He was the grandfather of Christiana, Scott, Jr., Lisa, Brianna, David Jr., Julia and Jessica. He was the great grandfather of Andriana, Angelina, Lauren, Stephen, Jr. and Autumn.
A funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 11 a.m. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home prior to the service starting at 9 a.m.
