Richard McEttrick

Richard B . McEttrick , 91, of Braintree died Friday, December 24 at the Woburn Nursing Center.

Born in Boston on November 29, 1919 he was the son of the late Matthew B . and Roseanna G. (Brosnahan) McEttrick .

Mr. McEttrick had served in the United States Coast Guard during WWII. He had worked as an insurance agent with John Hancock Insurance Company in Brockton and had retired in 1985.

He was the husband of the late Margaret M. (Cummings) McEttrick . Mr. McEttrick is survived by his two sons; Richard M. McEttrick of Leominster and Robert P. McEttrick and his wife Wendy of Milford, New Hampshire and his sister Geraldine Mitchell of Reading. He is also survived by his four grandchildren. Mr. McEttrick was predeceased by his sister Doris Davidson.

His funeral service will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Thursday at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 9-10am. Interment will be at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham.
