Richard Encarnacao

Richard J. Encarnacao, 63, of Wakefield formerly of Newark, Delaware, died on Saturday, April 18th at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Wakefield on April 16, 1946 he was the son of the late Julio O. and Olivia (Sousa) Encarnacao.

Mr. Encarnacao was a graduate of Wakefield High School. He was a general manager for the Christianna Hotel in Delaware and was a member of the Crystal Community Club in Wakefield.

Mr. Encarnacao is survived by his two daughters, Ricci Emerick and her husband Bud of Cranston, RI and Joy Encarnacao of Chicago, IL, his son, Nicholas Encarnacao of Chicago, IL, his three grandchildren; Olivia, Jacob and Jillian Emerick, his three brothers; John B. Encarnacao of Wakefield, Charles W. Encarnacao of North Reading and Robert P. Encarnacao of Wakefield, his two sisters; Mary Ann Encarnacao and Elizabeth Waisnor both of Wakefield. He was predeceased by his four brothers; Anthony Montrond, Julio O. Encarnacao, Manuel F. Encarnacao and Arthur Encarnacao and his two sisters; Anna Custodio and Mary DeCruz.

His funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Thursday at 7pm. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service starting at 4pm.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church Food Bank, 389 Greenwich Ave, Warwick, RI 02886.
