Richard Hogan

Richard J. Hogan, 65, a life long resident of Wakefield, died on Sunday, August 28 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Winchester on September 18, 1945 he was the son of the late Dennis P. and Mary E. (McGrail) Hogan.

Mr. Hogan was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1964. He had retired from the former American Mutual Insurance Co. in Wakefield.

He was a member of the Wakefield Council #104 Knights of Columbus and the West Side Social Club in Wakefield.

Mr. Hogan was the twin brother of Dennis P. Hogan, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Wakefield and the late Mary R. Collins. He was the uncle of Paula J. Hogan and John P. Hogan. He is also survived by 4 great nieces and nephews and many cousins.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.
