Richard Stowers

Richard J . Stowers , 59 of Venice, FL and formerly of Wakefield died July 29 in Venice after a long period of failing health.

Born in Melrose on September 16, 1952 the son of the late Ralph and Margaret (Connolly) Stowers .

Mr. Stowers was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1970. He was a long time Bar Tender for the 99 Restaurant chain and also served as Bar Tender and beverage manager for the Colonial of Lynnfield.

Mr. Stowers is survived by his sister Linda Stowers of Belgrade, Montana and his best friend and special lady Meredith Nicholson of Venice, FL.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Thursday August 9 at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church 47 Butler Ave. Wakefield at 10:00. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home Wednesday 4-8 pm. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody
