Richard F. Morello, 82, of Allenstown, NH and formerly Wakefield, died Thursday, June 10, at the Hackett Hill Health Care Center in Manchester.
Born in Malden, on October 5, 1927, Richard was the son of the late William and Frances (Craton) Morello.
During World War II, Richard enlisted in the Army and served in the European Theatre.
He spent many years as a mason, working construction on high rise buildings and was a member of the Massachusetts Laborers' Union, Local #22. After his retirement, he had been employed by the Amherst School District in building maintenance. Mr. Morello was also an avid hunter.
Mr. Morello was the husband of Eleanor (Cyr) (Holbrook) Morello of Allenstown. He was the father of, Mary Doucette and her husband Kevin of FL, Richard Morello, Jr. of Wakefield , and William Morello of Epsom, NH. Richard is also survived by his step-children, Donna Maynard and her husband David, and Alan Duplessis and his wife Anne; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and also his brother William Morello, and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday from 3-6 p.m.
