Richard Wolsey, Jr.

Richard R. Wolsey, Jr. of North Reading and formerly Lynnfield died suddenly at his home on Friday, February 25.

Born in Malden on July 13, 1944, he was the son of the late Richard R. and Ethel (Irving) Wolsey.

Richard was raised in Lynnfield, was a graduate of Lynnfield High School, class of 1963 and had also attended Wentworth College. Richard was a Building Inspector who had started his own business, Wolsey Associates of North Reading. He was a member of the Massachusetts Charitable Mechanics Association, the Academy of Model Aeronautics, and the National Rifle Association.

Mr. Wolsey was the husband of Faith (Dusty) Wolsey. He was the father of Heather S. Hovey and her husband Craig of Beverly, Marisa Minnella and her husband John Butterworth of Wakefield, and Brooke Faulkner and her husband Bryan of Haverhill. He was the brother of Eric C. Wolsey of Revere. He was the grandfather of Riley Faulkner and Ryan Butterworth. Richard is also survived by his ex-wife Dianne Kennedy of Reading.

A funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 11a.m. Visitation for friends and family will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday 4-8 p.m.

Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
