Rita Calore

Rita M. Calore, 91, of Wakefield died on Sunday, November 13 at the Bear Hill Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wakefield.

Born in Malden on August 15, 1920 she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Misisco) Antonucci.

Mrs. Calore was raised in Italy and came to the United States at the age of 17. She was a member of St. Florence Church and a long time Wakefield resident.

Mrs. Calore was the wife of the late Frank Calore. She was the mother of Frank P. Calore of Wareham, James D. Calore of NC and Joanne M. Turco of Wakefield. She was the sister of the late Theresa Paganucci, Frances Riker and Louis and Alex Antonucci. She was the grandmother of Elizabeth, Matthew and Daniel Calore and Albert and Catherine Turco. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friend will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.

In lieu of flowers memeorial contributions in Rita's memory may be made to the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry, 467 Main St. Wakefield, MA 01880
