Rita Mcallister

Rita F . McAllister, 83, of Stoneham and formerly Medford, passed away at the Wingate of Andover Nursing Home on Sunday, July 22.

Born in Medford on September 13, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Edward G. and Veronica (Faucette) Doran. Mrs. McAllister was raised in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School. Rita had been a Stoneham resident for thirty three years.

Mrs. McAllister was the wife of the late William M. McAllister, Jr. She was the mother of Sandra L. Iandoli and her husband Kenneth of Burlington, Linda M. Hanley of DeLand, FL, William E. McAllister and his wife Suzanne of Tewksbury, Robert S. McAllister and his wife Anne of Stoneham, Susan R. Drew ands her husband James of Andover and Lisa Servello and her husband Greg of DeLand, FL. She was the sister of Edward Doran of Medford and is also survived by her thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St. Stoneham on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. A period of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 – 8 P.M.

Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
