Robert Brown

Robert Brown, 85, died peacefully on May 25, 2015. Born in Wakefield on July 5, 1929, he was the son of William and Margaret Brown.
He spent his childhood years on Emerson St. in Wakefield and graduated from WHS in 1948. After joining the Air Force in 1950 he spent several years as a talented saxophone player for the marching and concert bands. He was an avid reader who then happily worked for Murray Printing for his entire career.

Robert enjoyed traveling and made many trips to Yosemite National Park with his longtime friends from California. He especially looked forward to visiting his siblings in Nova Scotia, where he spent many happy days talking, laughing and eating his favorite dish, rappie pie! He will always be remembered for his quick wit and his wonderful story telling. His friends and family will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his dear aunts, Florence Kulacz and Frances McKenzie, as well as his step mother Loretta Brown, who recently celebrated her 100th birthday! He is also survived by several siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins in Nova Scotia as well as Massachusetts.

Funeral services are private.
