Robert Burke

Robert W. Burke, 43, of Wakefield passed away March 9, 2015 at his residence after a courageous 2 year fight against cancer.

Born on November 13, 1971, he was the loving son of Charlotte (Lloyd) Burke of Wakefield and the late Joeby Burke.

Robert was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1989. He later graduated from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2002. He enjoyed writing, playing guitar an also online video games. Mr. Burke had worked as library researcher for the Boston Globe for 10 Year. He also enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Wakefield, NH.

In addition to his mother, Robert is survived by his loving siblings: Janice Burke and her companion John Malonson of Melrose, Terry Shedd and Randy Burke, both of Wakefield, and Patti Plante and her husband Michael of Wilmington. He is also survived by his niece Jessica and two nephews Dan and Jonathan.

His funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 1pm. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held prior to the service on Saturday from 10:30am to 1pm. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
