Robert Heinstrom

Robert J . Heinstrom , 86, of Wakefield died Sunday, October 5th at the Wilmington Health Care Center.

Born in Somerville on December 27, 1922 he was the son of late Albert E. and Gertrude (Walles) Heinstrom .

Mr. Heinstrom had been a Wakefield resident for the past 64 years. He was raised in Charlestown, Somerville and Wilmington. Mr. Heinstrom retired in 1984, after working for 48 years as a press operator for Paul K. Guillow Inc. in Wakefield. He was an associate member of the 5th Massachusetts Battery. Mr. Heinstrom was a rail road enthusiast and had a model rail road club that was held at his home in Wakefield.

He was the husband of the late Alice M. (Kriete). Mr. Heinstrom is survived by his two sons; David R. Heinstrom and his wife Terry of Utah and Stephen M. Heinstrom and his wife Marie of Stoneham and his brother Charles Heinstrom of Reading. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Mr. Hienstrom was predeceased by his brother Frank Heinstrom .

A funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Wednesday at 11am. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
