Robert MacGibbon

Robert "Mike" MacGibbon, 43, of Wakefield formerly of Melrose died on Saturday, October 12 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Melrose on April 14, 1970, he was the son of Robert F. and Kathleen L. (Hart) MacGibbon.

Robert was a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1988. He had worked as a landscaper and painter. He also volunteered as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army and local charitable organizations. Robert was always quick to lend a hand to anyone who asked.

In addition to his parents, Robert is survived by his brother Patrick A. MacGibbon and his wife Carla of Wakefield, his two sisters; Kelly A. Costello and her fiancé Matthew Ritter and Gabrielle J. MacGibbon and her fiancé John Bingham all of Wakefield. Robert is also survived by his 6 nieces and nephews; Andelyn, Nicholas, Casey, Paige, Brandin and Anna.

A Funeral Service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Friday at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8pm.
