Robert O'Donnell

Robert Francis O'Donnell, 75 of Reading died on Thursday, November 11 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.

Born in Woburn on July 22, 1935 he was the son of the late Anna C. O'Donnell.

Robert was a graduate of Woburn High School, Class of 1953 and Wentworth Institute, Class of 1955. During the Vietnam Era he served in the U.S. Army. He worked for the Local 103 as an Electrician before his retirement.

Robert had been a resident of Reading since 1969. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Wakefield and a 52 year member of the IBEW Local 103.

He was the husband of Virginia J. (Martell) O'Donnell. He was the father of Kevin R. O'Donnell and his wife Andrea of North Andover, Cathleen O'Donnell of Plymouth, Robert F. O'Donnell and his wife Meredith of Newburyport and Ryan J. O'Donnell of Reading. He was the cousin of Mary Casey of Cambridge, Joseph Casey of Wakefield, Ned Casey of Morgantown, KY, Michael Casey of Saratoga Springs, NY and Joseph McCarthy of Princeton, NJ. Grandfather of Robert O'Donnell.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Woburn.
