Robert Ring

Robert P . Ring , 72, a lifelong resident of Wakefield died at his home on Wednesday November 19. Born in Boston, May 24, 1936 he was the son of the late Harold and Laura (Pinto) Ring/Stone and the late Russell and Charlotte Hobson.

Robert was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1954. He retired as a Power Plant Stationary Engineer from Polaroid Corporation in Waltham this past May after 40 years of service. Robert was a devoted father and family man. He enjoyed spending time with his family and pursuing his many hobbies.

He was the husband of Evelyn M. (Burgess) Ring . Father of Nancy Barry of Billerica, Kathryn Guay of Kennebunkport, ME, Martha Ring of Georgetown, Paula Ring of Cape Neddick, ME, Carol Arsenault of York, ME, Robert P . Ring Jr. of Wenham,, Kristine Ring of Wakefield and the late Ellen Dushane. Brother of Arthur Ring of Wakefield, Lois Parr of Wakefield, Shirley Waisnor of Wakefield, Harold Ring of Saugus, Charlotte Brown of Simsbury, CT, Susan White of Meriden, CT, Muriel Soroka of Durham, CT and the late Theodore Berns. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 10 AM. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Friday 4-8 PM. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
