Roberta T. Fatalo, 86, of Wakefield, died on Monday, October 8 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center in Wakefield.
Born in Boston on July 11, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucia (Tammaro) Fatalo.
Roberta was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. She had retired from John Hancock Life Insurance Company as a Compliance Officer. She was an active member of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church where she taught Religious education and was active in the Women's Guild. Roberta had traveled all over the world.
She is survived by her cousin and sister at heart Sally G. Chinchillo of Wakefield, her niece Karen Capizzi and her husband Anthony, her nephew Peter Chinchillo, her great nephew Philip Capizzi and his wife Siobhan, her great niece Erika Wright and her husband Nick and their children Jackson and Emery. She was the dear friend of Marie Rizzo of Medford. She was the sister of the late Angelo Fatalo.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield on Friday at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday prior to the mass from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
