Roberta O'Neil

Roberta M . O'Neil , 94, of Wakefield formerly of Malden died on Saturday, January 21 at her residence.

Born in Malden on January 7, 1918 she was the daughter of the late William G. and Ellen M . (Long) Buchan

Mrs. O'Neil was a graduate of Wakefield High School. She was a former member of the Lady Sodality at St. Athanasius Church in Reading and a member of St. Joseph Parish in Wakefield. Mrs. O'Neil enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family and friends.

She was the wife of the late Michael J. O'Neil . Mrs. O'Neil is survived by her devoted sister Ruth A. White of Wakefield, her beloved nephew Gary White and his wife Susan of Salem, New Hampshire and her two loving nieces; Karyl DeCicco and her husband Anthony of Wakefield and Robin Hildreth and her husband Joseph of Burlington. She is also survived by many great nieces, nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Wednesday at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church 173 Albion St, Wakefield at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8pm.
Interment will be at Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the charity of one's choice.
