Roger Williams

Roger D. Williams, 80, of Maynard, died on Friday, December 18 at the Artis Senior Living in Reading.

Born in Concord on December 16, 1940, he was the son of the late Bernard and Esther (Launola) Williams.

Mr. Williams was a graduate of Maynard High School, Class of 1958 and Boston University. He was a retired manufacturing engineer for Digital & GTE. Mr. Williams was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Sudbury.

Mr. Williams is survived by his four children: Erik Vilmunen and his wife Kim of Reading, Jennifer Cunningham and her husband Sean of Amesbury, David Williams and his wife Danielle of Princeton and Sara Williams and her fiancé Dan Lovetere of Avon. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and his dear friend Shirley MacLeod of Boxborough. Mr. Williams was predeceased by his brother Lloyd Williams.

Funeral services will be private.

Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home in Wakefield.
