Rose Johnson

Rose V . Johnson , 94, a life long resident of Stoneham, died on Wednesday, April 27 at the Radius Hospital in Boston.

Born in Stoneham on November 11, 1916 she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Rachel (Tomasso) DiZazzo.

Mrs. Johnson was raised in Stoneham. She was the past president of the Italian Women's Society, past president of the George Hall VFW Post Women's Auxilliary in Stoneham and a member of St. Patrick Church.

Mrs. Johnson was the wife of the late Rollin Johnson . She was the loving mother of Anita Woodland and her husband Fred of Stoneham. She was the sister of Marie DelRossi and Jeanette Confalone both of Wakefield and the late Mary Salara, Polly Antonioli, John DiZazzo and Connie Vespucci. She was the grandmother of Fred, Kenneth and Paul Woodland and Christina Giacchetto and the great grandmother of Joshua and Zachary Woodland, Ryan and Christopher Giacchetto and Crystal Epstein. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St, Stoneham on Tuesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St, Stoneham at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Stoneham.
